Group of six people in a kitchen preparing and enjoying a meal together, smiling and laughing.

How it works

I photograph families in their own space — at home or somewhere familiar.

There’s nothing to prepare and nothing to perform.
You don’t need a plan for the day.

I arrive, spend time with your family, and photograph what’s already happening.

Start Your Story
Two young children sitting on a brown sofa in a living room, one child appears distressed with hands on head, and the other is smiling and holding a book, with a framed photo collage on the wall behind them.

What these sessions are

(and aren’t)

These sessions aren’t about getting a specific photo.

They’re about giving the day space to unfold.

Kids can be loud.
Homes can be lived in.
Nothing needs to go a certain way.

That’s the point.

Story Lengths

  • A young boy with blonde hair and a floral shirt holding hands with an adult woman wearing a yellow cardigan and black sandals, walking on a sidewalk.

    Very Short Story

    1 hour

    A brief glimpse.

For moments that don’t need much time — a quiet hour at home or a short visit.

With less time to settle in, it’s not meant to tell the whole story. Just enough to hold onto a piece of it.

  • A father wearing a large sun hat jokingly squishes his face against the window while his daughter is on the other side.

    Short Story

    2 hours

A small slice of a day.

Good for newborns, visiting grandparents, or a season you don’t want to forget.

Enough time to settle in and let things happen naturally.

  • A woman joyful while helping a young boy in a swing set at a park, with a girl smiling in a swing in the background.

    Half Day

    4 hours

Allows the rhythm of the day to show itself.

Think a morning at home, an afternoon together, or the slow middle of the day.

It’s often the right balance of depth and simplicity.

  • A father and two young children in matching pajamas sitting on a bed, looking at a book together.

    Day in the Life

    8+ hours

    The full arc.

    Morning to night.
The quiet parts and the busy ones.

This option gives space for the story to breathe and change as the day goes on.

Choosing the right fit

A young girl with blonde hair sitting on the floor next to a stuffed bear, looking at a picture book. A mother helps her son button his shirt. The scene is indoors with a bed and a chair in the background.

If you’re not sure which Story Length makes sense, that’s normal.

We’ll talk it through.

There’s no pressure to decide right away.
